The Vicariate of Kuwait is now the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia which includes Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The decree from the Holy See came into effect on May 31, 2011.

Fr. Alfredo Guran Micua was born on 26th February 1950 to Susana Guran and Anacleto Micua in Umingan, Pangasinan, Philippines.
He did his philosophical and theological studies at Our Lady of Lourdes Seminary and Divine Word Seminary, Tagaytay City, Philippines. Fr. Alfredo made his relgious profession on 19th May 1971 and was ordained to the priesthood on 4th October 1975. He did his franciscan studies at Antonianum, Rome, Italy. Fr. Alfredo has served in the following parishes and schools:
St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Pulo, Cabuyao, Laguna (5 yrs)
Sacred Heart Parish, Manila (5 yrs)
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (6 yrs)
Lourdes School of Mandaluyong (5 yrs)
St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish (4 yrs)
Fr.Alfredo joined the Vicariate of Northern Arabia on 25th March, 2010 and was assigned to the Our Lady of Arabia Parish, Ahmadi. On 16th December 2011, Fr. Alfredo was appointed and officially sworn in as the Parish Priest of the same parish. (photos below)
