Announcements for the week beginning / Updated on:
Friday, 11 May
1. The parents and godparents are reminded of their
Pre-baptism Seminar. It will be held on Monday 21st May from 7:00 to 9:00
pm. in the Hall of the Holy Family. Please do not delay to register in the
Parish Office.
2. The Night Vigil will be conducted on Thursday 17th May
at 10:00 pm. in this Cathedral. The Vigil Confessions will start at 9:30
pm. Kindly see the notice board for the Vigil Transportation.
3. The Pilgrimage to Spain and Portugal will be from
August 3rd to 13th. May 25th will be the closing date for the
registration. Please hurry to get the form from the Parish Office.
4. On 18th May, Friday, the 8:00 and the 9:15 Masses will
be in the Holy Family Hall. In the Cathedral the Confirmation Service will
commence at 8:00 am. All the Confirmation Children should be in Room 9 by
7:15 am.
5. The Pentecost Novena to the Holy Spirit will begin on
the 18th of May.
6. May 20th will be the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our
Lord.
7. On 31st May the Mass at the Grotto will begin at 6:30
pm. followed by the Singing of the Litany in Latin.
8. At the Church of Our Lady Of Arabia, Ahmadi, there
will be a program entitled, “Education to Love†on the 8th of June from
9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Participation forms are available in the Parish Office
and the Resource Centre. For further details please check the notice
board.
KINDLY NOTE THE FOLLOWING
1. Every Saturday at 11:00 am, we celebrate the Mass in
Spanish in the Virgin Mary Hall. We invite the Spanish-speaking community
to participate in the Liturgy.
2. On Fridays at 5:30 pm. English Mass is celebrated in
Jahra, in the basement building, opposite Sultan Centre.
3. The Blessed Sacrament Chapel (inside the Cathedral) is
only for parents with infants.

1. Parishioners who are interested to serve as
pastoral helpers are invited to register their names in the Parish
Office.
2. The Parish Intecessory Group willconduct
adoration, praise and worship on Monday May 21 after the 6.00 p.m.
Mass.
3. There will be a Baptism Seminar on Wednesday May
16 at 6.30 p.m. in the Catechism Block. Attendance is
compulsory for both parents and godparents.
4. The renewal of marriage vows will be on Saturday
May 26. Couples who are celebrating their wedding anniversary
are requested to register their names in the Parish Office.
5. The Holy Family Cathedral is organizing a
pilgrimage to Spain and Portugal from August 3-13. Those who
are interested kindly contact the Parish Office of the Cathedral.
6. The Pentecost Novena will begin on May 18
and the solemn celebration will be on Sunday May 27 at the 6.00
p.m. Mass.
7. There will be a Pentecost Vigil on May 24
from 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m.
8. The Youth Ministry of the Apostolic
Vicariate of Northern Arabia is organizing a program for the youth
themed "EDUCATION TO LOVE" on June 8 at Our Lady of Arabia
Church. All youth are invited.
9. The Kids for Christ is organizing a SUMER
CAMP that will start on Friday June 8 from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon
in the Catechism Block. Application forms are available in the
Parish Office next

Friday, 11 May
1. Today, we celebrate the Liturgy of the Sixth Sunday of
Easter.
2. The Month of May is dedicated to our Lady. All
families are exhorted to come together and pray the Rosary as a family.
3. The Altar Servers will meet on Saturday, 12th May,
from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
4. Monday, 14TH May, is the Feast of St. Mathias, the
Apostle.
5. A Pre-Baptismal Seminar will be held on Monday, 14th
May, from 7:15 pm – 8:45 pm in Room #14. Please register by Sunday, 13th
May.
6. The Night Vigil Adoration will be conducted on 17th
May, from 10:00 pm onwards, at the Holy Family Cathedral.
7. An all-night Pentecost Vigil will be conducted at the
Ahmadi Church on Thursday, 24th May from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, the next
morning. Kindly submit your name and telephone number at the Resource
Centre so transportation can be arranged. Please refer to notice-board for
more details.
8. 25th May will be the last day of Catechism classes
before we close for summer vacations.
9. The Youth Ministry department of the Vicariate of
Northern Arabia, Kuwait, is organizing a program for YOUTH, entitled
‘EDUCATION TO LOVE’ on 8th June, from 9 am to 9 pm, at the Ahmadi Church.
- This program will enlighten our youth with all the know-how of love
and will also help them later, in their married life.
- All youth, regardless of nationality or language, are encouraged to
attend this program as it will really be an eye-opener to the exact
meaning of "LOVE".
10. The Holy Family Cathedral is organizing a Pilgrimage
to Spain and Portugal from 3rd to 13th August. Those interested, kindly
collect the required details from the Parish Office. Last date for
registration is 25th May. It will be on first come first served basis.
11. Two Salesian Priests from Mumbai will preach a
Spiritual Retreat for the school children of our Parish from 2nd to 5th
July from 9 am - 2 pm.

KINDLY NOTE THE FOLLOWING
1. The Parish Office timings are as
follows:
Daily (Sat to Thur) from 9 am - 11 am & 5 pm - 6 pm,
or by appointment. The office will remain closed on Fridays.
2. We request parents with infants to occupy
only Room # 1 during the Mass.
3. Parishioners who bring their vehicles to
Church are kindly requested to abide by Kuwait's traffic rules whilst
parking so as to not inconvenience others. "Do unto
others, as you would have them do to you" should henceforth
be our motto whilst parking.

Tuesday May 15
1. Our Parish raffle coupons are being
distributed to our parishioners. To show your solidarity and
communion with the Parish, kindly receive minimum a book of raffles
containing 10 leaves for KD.10/-. Kindly place the counter leaves in
the box at the entrance of this hall.
2. Gathering for nurses of the health ministry will be
held on Saturday May 19 from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at Our Lady of Arabia
Hall.
3. On Tuesday May 29, at 6.30 p.m. there will be a
special thanksgiving Mass for couples whose wedding anniversary was in the
month of March, April and May. Couples who would like to join for
this Mass are requested to give their names before the 25th of this month.

the hall or classes.
3. Please do not make use of the building parking place
to park your car. This place is allotted ONLY for the people who live in
the building. If you come for Mass by car, kindly park your car on the
other side of the road and walk to the hall. Thank you for your
