His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi, O.SS.T., Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, accompanied by Fr. Sliman Hifawi, priest responsible for the Spanish-speaking Catholic community in Kuwait, and Spanish seminarian Pedro Mendoza, attended the reception organised by the Embassy of Spain in Kuwait on the evening of 12 October, on the occasion of Spain’s National Day.
During the event, Bishop Berardi had the opportunity to personally congratulate His Excellency Mr. Manuel Hernández, Ambassador of Spain to Kuwait, on this important celebration, which coincides with the Feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, Patroness of the Hispanic World.
We offer our prayers that God, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of the Pillar, may always protect Spain and all the Spanish people.
May Spain continue to be a nation characterised by dialogue, mutual understanding, and good relations with other countries, particularly with the nations of the Middle East, such as Kuwait, with which it maintains important ties of friendship and cooperation.
