International Missionary Rosary

Dear all,

Having finalized the remaining organizational details, we are pleased to inform you that on Saturday, October 17, at 3:00 p.m. Rome time (CEST – UTC+2), we will celebrate a special International Missionary Rosary to mark the centennial of World Mission Sunday, in accordance with the wishes expressed by the National Directors of the Pontifical Mission Societies during our last General Assembly in Rome.

The Rosary will be presided over by Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, Section for First Evangelization and New Particular Churches. It will take place on the terrace of the Centro Internazionale di Animazione Missionaria (CIAM), located on the campus of the Pontifical Urbaniana University (Via Urbano VIII, 16, Rome), on the eve of World Mission Sunday.

The event will be broadcast live on EWTN television and streamed on its YouTube channel. It will also be available via live stream on Play2000, the digital platform of Tv2000 and InBlu2000.

We warmly invite you to participate in this special moment of missionary prayer, either in person, for those who are in Rome, or online.

We also kindly ask you to extend this invitation to the Diocesan Directors of the Pontifical Mission Societies, the bishops in your respective countries, all collaborators, priests, consecrated men and women, and all friends and acquaintances, so that they may join us in this moment of prayer for the universal mission of the Church.
